Dr. Omair Vicaruddin

Dr. Omair Vicaruddin has a special interest and focused practice in musculoskeletal medicine. He graduated from the University of Alberta Medical School and subsequently completed his postgraduate training at the University of Calgary.

He works with the multidisciplinary team at Shield Clinics with a focus on diagnosis and treating musculoskeletal pain conditions. His special interest is in interventional procedures. He specializes in trigger point injections, Botox injections for migraines/myofascial pain/neuropathic conditions, prolotherapy (regenerative injections with dextrose), tenotomy, and ultrasound-guided injections using corticosteroids.

He is qualified as a Certified Independent Medical Examiner and has completed Graduate Certificate in Pain Management and Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine.
 

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, travelling, and playing hockey.
