Dr. Vonda Bobart

MD,MBA

Dr. Vonda Bobart grew up in Nova Scotia. She obtained her BSc in Biology at Dalhousie University. She attended The Royal College of Surgeons, Dublin, Ireland for her medical degree. She practiced internal medicine for two years before going to Yale University, CT, USA for her Anesthesia residency and Cardiothoracic Fellowship. She is double boarded in Anaesthesiology and Echocardiography.

Dr. Bobart is published in both Cardiac and Regional Anaesthesia. She has lectured on an international level. She completed her MBA in health administration at Florida Atlantic University. She currently practices Anaesthesiology and pain medicine and is a clinical lecturer at the University of Alberta.

At Shield Clinics, she works with the team doing the intake consultation, and pain medication management. She also performs interventional procedures (regional anaesthesia) for pain relief. She likes to keep up with new advances in pain management and procedures.
 
She appreciates and contributes to the very supportive, collaborative, team environment at Shield Clinics. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, travelling, hiking and cycling. She loves dogs and has a Westie.
