Karen Chan

Karen graduated from the University of Alberta in 2000 with Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy and from the University of Calgary in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. Since graduating Karen has worked in private physiotherapy clinics in Edmonton, St. Albert, and Calgary. Karen has experience treating chronic spinal pain, sports injuries, work related injuries and injuries from motor vehicle accidents. She also enjoys seeing patients requiring rehabilitation after interventional procedures.

Karen is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy having completed her Advanced Diploma in Manipulative Therapy in 2008. She completed her certification in Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) in 2006. Karen has taken many other post-graduate courses and most recently has taken courses for vestibular rehabilitation and treatment of running injuries. She enjoys educating and encouraging people through the process of rehabilitation.

Karen grew up playing many sports competitively and now continues to enjoy many activities recreationally including tennis, hockey, skiing, and cycling. She also loves to spend as much time outdoors with her husband and two boys.
